They are made from polyvinyl chloride, a combination of plastic and vinyl, and are ideal for drainage lines, water systems and underground plumbing. They are common in earthquake-prone areas since they cannot be easily moved or bent.

Advantages Of Using PVC Pipes

1. Strong And Light-Weight

PVC's abrasion resistance, lightweight, good mechanical strength and strength are essential technical advantages for its use in building and construction applications.

2. Easy To Set Up

PVC can be cut, shaped, welded and joined quickly in a variety of designs.

3. Resilient

PVC is resistant to weathering, rotting, chemical deterioration, shock and abrasion. It is for that reason the favoured choice for a variety of consumers for various long-life and outdoor items. In fact, medium and long-term applications account for some 85 percent of PVC production in the building and construction sector. For instance, it is estimated that PVC pipes will have potential in-service lives of up to 100 years. In other applications such as window profiles and cable insulation, studies show that over 60 percent of them will have working lives of close to over 40 years.

4. Cost-Effective

PVC has been a popular material for construction applications for years due to its physical and technical properties which offer excellent cost-performance benefits. As a material it's very competitive in terms of price, this value is also improved by the properties such as its durability, life-span and low upkeep needs. A current research about the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of PVC products in window profiles, pipes and flooring revealed that PVC is usually the most cost efficient choice

5. Environmental Effect

Exceptional thermal insulation of PVC windows, cladding and roofing helps to considerably enhance the energy effectiveness of structures. PVC piping systems assist prevent leakage and their incredibly smooth surface areas decrease the expense of pumping fluids. PVC products require relatively less energy and resource use throughout production, along with conversion to completed products. They are lighter than those made from concrete, iron or steel requiring less energy (and therefore less emissions) to transport and install. In life-cycle analyses and independent research studies, PVC's ecological impact has been found to be positive when compared with other manufactured products utilized for building. PVC products are likewise so durable that frequent replacement is unnecessary. And, as a thermoplastic, at the end of one use, PVC is relatively straightforward to separate from other plastics and after that can be readily recycled into new applications. Reputable plans ensure that a huge proportion of PVC made use of in construction applications, such as pipes, window profiles and flooring are now recycled at the end of their useful lives.

6. Safe

PVC is a non-toxic inert polymer. It is a socially important resource that has been utilized for more than half a century. It is likewise the world's most researched and thoroughly tested plastic. It fulfils all international standards for safety and health for both the products and applications for which it is utilized.
